MASS SINGAPORE, August 2024

International Street and Park Skateboarding Contest

Jurong Lake Gardens' Lakeside Skatepark, 30 August to 1 September 2024

MASS Singapore is an all-ages, all-skill levels street and park skateboarding contest coming to Singapore's JLG Lakeside skatepark. Men's and women's rookie and intermediate divisions will be competing for prizes while open division competitors will feature the region's top skaters competing for prize money

The event will feature a Street and Street Best Trick in the covered street course, and Park contest with rookie and intermediate divisions and the women's open in the propeller bowl, and men’s park open division in big bowl.

MASS events have a heritage of events that mix contest and culture, bringing together the best in skateboarding communities.MASS BALI was our most recent regional event and we will be hoping to see skaters from MASS Bali making the trip to Singapore.

Open categories for men and women

With a total cash purse of over S$7,700 (US$5,000), skaters from across the region will compete in men's and women's categories for all contests.

The rules and categories explained

Open: Open division is the highest level of competition, open to professionals, sponsored riders, national team members and experienced skaters. Open division is competing for prize money.Intermediate: Intermediate division is open to experienced skateboarders that aren’t at the highest level of competition.Rookie: Rookie divisions are open to skaters that are new to skateboarding and skateboarding contests.Rookie Men’s Park

Open Street Best trickA helmet rule will apply for all park events and in street, for all those under 18.All park divisions compete in the smaller propeller bowl, EXCEPT Men's Open division which is in the Big Bowl.

Judges and Judging Criteria

MASS Singapore will feature a 3 person judging panel, led by Head Judge Jason Rothmeyer. Jason has been the head judge for some of the biggest International events in skateboarding including X Games, CPH Pro, Tampa Pro and Vans Park Series.Judging Criteria
PARK-
The Skateboard Park event will be judged on overall impression with 3 judges scoring and a final score being an average of the 3 with individual runs by competitors.

STREET- Similar to park, street will be judged by 3 judges on overall impression. Format will be individual runs for qualifying rounds but for the finals for the Open Division we will be using the 2/5/3 format. Finals will be 2 individual runs followed by 5 single trick attempts on an obstacle of the skaters choice. Best 1 run will count followed by the 2 highest scoring trick attempts to give a single total for the skater in the finals.Street Judging criteria will be as follows:Consistency/execution of tricks
